One of the nice surprises while exploring the Carnarvon George National Park was a short trip to Warrumbah Creek Gorge.Take the short signposted walk to Mickeys Creek Gorge, and follow the sign to Warrumbah Creek. After short 200 meters, you will reach the mouth of the gorge.
Explore as far as you dare – it gets better the deeper you go. We have turned back about 700-800 meters into the gorge after we have reached about 3 meter high, hard to climb over boulder stuck between the narrow gorge walls.
Entry to the gorge is easy going, with a bit of rock hopping. (Warrumbah Creek Gorge, Carnarvon National Park, Queensland, Australia)
